As an active member state, Vietnam will help lift ASEAN cooperation to a new height, said Indonesian FM Marty Natalegawa on Wednesday in Ha Noi on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM-43) and related meetings.

Indonesian FM Marty Natalegawa held that after 15 years of ASEAN membership, Vietnam has taken a significant role in spurring cooperation activities within the bloc.
Vietnam, a constructive member of ASEAN, can be proud of her positive contributions to the Association, said Mr. Marty Natalegawa.
The Indonesian FM applauded the host country for initiating the issuance of the ASEAN Declaration on Humanitarian Assistance to People and Vessels in Distress at Sea.
Mr. Marty Natalegawa was convinced that as the Chair of ASEAN in 2010, Vietnam would bring ASEAN cooperation to a new height.
According to the FM, the cooperation mechanism of ASEAN+3 has become one of the leading forums for ASEAN to deal with many issues, especially in the post-crisis period./.
