Vietnam will create more favorable conditions for companies from the Chinese province of Yunnan to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the Vietnamese market, especially in infrastructure construction, design consultation, electricity, chemical, industry, and medicine, Deputy PM Truong Vinh Trong said.

Mr. Trong, still on a tour to China from October 19-25, has made the statement when meeting with Yunnan Governor Qin Guangrong today.
The Vietnamese Deputy PM said Vietnamese localities and Yunnan should also strengthen exchanges and coordination to combat trans-border crimes, and maintain order and security in border areas.
Mr. Qin Guangrong proposed some fields of further cooperation, including agriculture, forestry, science and technique.
The friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnamese localities and Yunnan have developed strongly and yielded many practical results in all fields. In 2009, the two-way trade value between Vietnam and Yunnan reached US $790 million, up 22.4% against 2008.
Cooperation mechanisms between Vietnamese localities and the Chinese province, especially the joint working group of Dien Bien-Lai Chau-Lao Cai-Ha Giang and Yunnan, and the economic corridor of Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh, have been reinforced over years.
The 3rd meeting of the aforesaid working group has resulted in many agreements, including those on strengthening political exchanges and cooperation on border management, economics, trade and tourism./.
