Mr. Arai Izumi said that his working-visit aims to improve some Japan-funded projects in Vietnam.
Vietnam has quickly launched projects such as Nghi Son thermal power plant in Thanh Hoa Province and the East-West Highway in Ho Chi Minh city, said Mr. Arai Izumi, hoping that Vietnamese Government will also create favorable conditions to speed up the other projects.
Deputy PM Hai highly appreciated the developments of the relations between the two governments in general and between Vietnam and JICA in particular.
Vietnam has actively pushed up the disbursement of ODA, particularly since the adoption of the Government’s Decree No. 69/NĐ-CP, said the Deputy PM.
He went on to say that Vietnam will continue to focus on infrastructure development in the following five-year economic development plan.
Deputy PM Haicalled on Japanese investors to pour more money in infrastructure and energy development in Vietnam, particularly in a form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP)./.
