The Netherlands always attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with Việt Nam, affirmed Dutch Queen Beatrix while meeting with visiting PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Thursday.

She hoped that both sides would boost delegation and people-to-people exchanges to enhance mutual understanding between the two nations.
Queen Beatrix noted that PM Dung’s visit to the Netherlands was a significant event which would help further the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
PM Dung said during his meetings with other Dutch leaders earlier, both sides agreed on a string of measures to deepen the bilateral ties, focusing on five areas of climate change adaptation and water management, agriculture, seaport development, oil and gas exploration, and logistics.
The Government chief expressed his hope that the Dutch Royal Family would continue to encourage and create more favorable conditions forDutch businesses to expand cooperation with Vietnamese partners.

On the same day, PM Dung met with Dutch Deputy PM, Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation Maxime Verhagen.
Both sides agreed that the bilateral relations have been flourishing over the past time, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
PM Dung asked the Dutch side to assist Vietnam to improve the quality of farm produce.
Also on the same day, PM Dung and Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of cooperative documents and contracts between the two countries’ businesses.
