The Singaporean leader made the statement at his meeting with PM Nguyen Tan Dung in Ha Noi on April 23.
Both countries are working on orientations for lifting up the bilateral ties to new heights.
Singaporean investors see Vietnam as an attractive investment destination, said the guest, hoping that the Vietnamese Government would create favorable conditions for them to do long-term business here.
President Tony Tan Keng Yam reiterated that Singapore is determined to coordinate closely with Vietnam and other ASEAN members to secure peace, stability and maritime freedom in the East Sea.
He voiced his country’s support for addressing maritime disputes through peaceful measures.
