Cambodia's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.1 percent to 3.8 percent in June from 3.7 percent in May this year, according to the latest statistics of the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) on Wednesday.
From May to June 2012, price for food increased by 0.9 percent, price for meat increased by 1.3 percent, price for fresh beef rose by 2.6 percent, and price for fresh fish and seafood increased by 1.3 percent, said the statistics.
It added that the price for restaurants increased by 1.8 percent; however, the price for housing, water, electricity and other fuels decreased by 0.8 percent thanks to the 7.5 percent drop in gasoline price.
A liter of gasoline goes for 1.28 U.S. dollars Wednesday.
The government forecasts that the inflation rate this year is expected at 3.9 percent./.
