Viet Nam posted a trade surplus of over US$ 471.7 million with Mexico in the first 8 months of this year, up nearly 29.2% on-year, according to the Viet Nam Customs.
The two-way trade between Viet Nam and Mexico in the January-August period was US$548.5 million, up 30.3%.
In the period, Viet Nam realized 71.5% of the export target set for 2012.
Vietnamese key exports to the central American country include footwear, seafood, garments, textiles, electronic components, and coffee.
Meanwhile, it imported over US$ 76.7 million worth of Mexican goods, up 37.7%. The key import items are machines, electronic components and animal feeds.
