The Vietnam-Laos economic cooperation in some spearhead industrial sectors topped the agenda at a seminar in the Lao capital of Vientiane on October 26.
Jointly organised by Vietnam ’s National Economics University and Laos ’s Ministry of Planning and Investment and the National University of Laos, the seminiar created a platform for economic experts, state managers and corporate executives to share views on mapping out a cooperation strategy to enhance connectivity between the two countries’ economies by 2020.
On the basis of key areas of cooperation programme approved by the two governments, participants pointed out opportunities and challenges ahead, thus defining key points in the future cooperation for the two economies which are experiencing fast growing but at a low starting point and poor competitiveness./.
