Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam will be connected to develop under a project that got sponsorship from the US Embassy in Vietnam.
The project, which began on July 19, looks to create opportunities for young entrepreneurs to learn experiences from economists, successful entrepreneurs from major groups and companies.
This year, the project will be implemented in the north for 10 months, to help local young entrepreneurs experiment with business solutions and experience.
According to Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) Deputy Director Vo Tri Thanh, Vietnamese SMEs lacks strong coordination and connectivity, which would pose a risk for the national economy.
Strong connectivity will help them secure a firm foothold in the market, Thanh said.
Launched in October, 2011, the project is one of the 36 worldwide which have been selected by the US Department of State for funding./.
