(MPI Portal) - On August 15th, a ceremony was chaired by the Permanent Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Cao Viet Sinh to award the medal "For the cause of Planning and Investment" to Mr. Jean-Marc Gravellini, Director of Agency of French Development (AFD) in Vietnam in recognition of his contributions to planning and investment sector in Vietnam.
The ceremony was also honored to welcome Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic in Vietnam Mr. Jean-Noel Poirer, and representatives of agencies and units of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the staffs from AFD Office in Hanoi.

In recent time, Vietnam has gotten support and contributions from the international community to the socio-economic development, in which France is one of the largest investors in Vietnam. The projects funded by France have brought major important contributions to socio-economic development, enhanced the cause of industrialization and modernization in Vietnam.
For those results, it should be included with the tremendous support from AFD in Vietnam headed by Mr. Jean-Marc Gravellini as the position of Director, stressed Permanent Deputy Minister Cao Viet Sinh.
In response, Mr. Jean-Marc Gravellini thanked to the support of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and involved agencies of Vietnam in his working tenure in Vietnam. He expressed hope that the cooperation of France and Vietnam in the fields of economy, culture, trade, investment ... would continue to be promoted through a diversification of practical and effective programs, projects; enhancing friendly relation of Vietnam and France.

Permanent Deputy Minister Cao Viet Sinh also sincerely thanked to the contributions of Mr. Jean-Marc Gravellini in particular and the staffs of AFD in Vietnam in general for the cooperation, development promotion in the two countries’ relationship. He also expressed hope that in the higher position in the AFD in Paris, Mr. Jean-Marc Gravellini would keep providing Vietnam with the support and help for the development of the country./.
