Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan on September 24 warmly received Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward, Duke of York, who is on a visit for the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and the UK.

Deputy PM Nhan said he hoped that Price Andrew would help encourage more British investors to do business in Viet Nam.
TheVietnamese Government, said Mr. Nhan, promises to create favorable conditions for UK businesses to do long-term and efficient business here to benefit both sides.
The host leader said Viet Nam appreciates the assistance of the British Royal Family and the UK Government on education and training, particularly the establishment of the Viet Nam-UK University in the central city of Da Nang.
He also proposed the British side support English teaching programs in Viet Nam.
For his part, Prince Andrew said that he was glad to come back to Viet Nam and witness the new socio-economic advancementsobtained.
The UK Government, affirmed Price Andrew, always backs the comprehensive relations between Viet Nam and the European Union especially in economics.
The UK is a potential investor in Viet Nam. As of December, 2012,British investors participated in162 projectsworthUS$2.5 billionin Viet Nam. A large number of British investors are operating successfully in the country./.
