(MPI Portal) – During the period of 20th to 22nd December 2013, in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, the delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam was working with the Ministry of Planning of Cambodia on the cooperation between the two countries in the formulation and development of Cambodia - Lao - Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle website.
This working agenda is carried out on the basis of a bilateral cooperation arrangement in 2013 between the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and Ministry of Planning of Cambodia. The delegation of Ministry of Planning and Investment led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Deputy Director of Informatics Center, Ministry of Planning and Investment was received by H.E Hou Taing Eng, Secretary of State, Ministry of Planning of Cambodia.
The agenda implemented by the Vietnamese delegation in Cambodia includes: (1) To exchange opinions with and guide staffs of the Ministry of Planning of Cambodia on some basic skills to edit images for posting information on CLV Development Triangle Website; (2) To develop additional categories and guide these staffs to post information for the 4 provinces of Cambodia (Ratanakiri, Stung Treng, Mondulkiri and Kratié) on the Website; (3) To survey, evaluate the effectiveness of using equipment that the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam provided for the Ministry of Planning of Cambodia.
At the meeting with the delegation of Vietnam, HE. Hou Taing Eng, Secretary of State, Ministry of Planning Cambodia confirmed that the Cambodian side would continue to deploy efficiently CLV Development Triangle Website. However, in order to achieve good results, HE. Hou Taing Eng suggested Vietnam side to consider the support for capacity building on technique, information and information technology as well as equipment, facilities needed for work.
The two sides also highly agreed to actively promote visibility of the Website in each country. Besides, the Parties would strengthen supplementation and update of the information on social and economic issues, investment promotion, statistics data, etc. .. not only of the Development Triangle Area but also all three countries of Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, as well as throughout the Indochina region associated with ASEAN./.
