Viet Nam saw a total trade revenue of US$ 158.6 billion in the first half of 2015, and suffered a trade deficit of over US$ 3.07 billion, according to the Viet Nam Customs.
In theJanuary-June period,exportvalued US$ 77.77 billion(up 9.3%)andimporthit US$ 80.84 billion(up16.7%).
In June, tradegenerated US$ 28.79 billion, a month-on-month light growth of 0.6%.
In the first half,traderecorded US$ 158.6 billion, seeing a year-on-year increase of13%.
According to the Viet Nam Customs, the FDI sector earned US$ 100.7 billion in tradein the first half, up 22% in comparison with last year and accounted for 63.5% of the country’s total figure.
Meanwhile, domestic enterprises ran a total trade value ofonly US$ 57.9 billion, equivalent tolast year's same period figure.
In the two first quarters,Viet Nam tradedUS$ 105 billion in value withother Asian partners, posting a year-on-year rise of 12.8% and making up the highest density of 66.2%.
In the reviewed time, the US continued to be the biggest export market of Viet Nam with US$ 15.79 billion (up 19.2% against the same period last year); followed by the EU with US$ 14.89 billion (up 12.4%); ASEAN US$ 9.12 billion (down 1.6%); andChina US$ 7.73 billion (up 5.2%).
Inthe first four months, Viet Nam bought US$ 24.22 billion worth of goods from China, up 23.2% against the same period last year. It also importedcommodities worthUS$ 17.73 billionfrom the Republic of Korea(up 31%)and US$ 11.91 billion fromASEAN (up 5.3%)./.
