The European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) is regarded as a key factor enhancing cooperation and investment between the EU and Viet Nam, said Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue at his meeting with Chairman of the EuroCham in Viet Nam Jens Ruebbert on August 29 in Ha Noi.

The Deputy PM hailed contributions of theEuroChamto Viet Nam'ssuccessfulorganization oftheMid-Term Viet Nam Business Forumin 2017 and therelease oftheWhite Book on Viet Nam trade and investment.
The businesses from the EU are concerned about green and sustainable development in Viet Nam, heading todebuttheBlue Book on Viet Nam in the future, said Mr.JenRuebbert.
He highly appraised the nation’s achievements in administrative procedure reform and transparent and open business environment.
The EU and Viet Nam should soon complete the signing of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement, he said, adding that theEuroChamwill make efforts in urging theEuropean Parliament to approve the Agreement as soon as possible for the benefits of their businesses and people.
The Vietnamese Government will continue taking measures to reform administrative procedures, improve thebusiness environment, reduce expenditures for enterprises, facilitate trade and protect health for domestic consumers, affirmed Deputy PM Hue.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to animal quarantine, regulations and standards on milky products, imports and exports on pharmaceuticalsand tariffs on wine.
