Vientiane (VNA) - The Lao Air has bought a new aeroplane worth 2.1 million USD from an American company to add to its fleet in response to the increasing demand of tourism, said local media.
The new aircraft, made by the Cessna Company of America from late 2007 to June 2008, arrived at Vientiane's Wattay International Airport on June 27, Laos’ News Agency of KPL said.
This is the third plane Laos bought from the company.
The 14-seat aeroplane is designed to be suitable for the mountainous terrain in Laos. Its safety has been certified by the Civilian Aviation Organisation of America, the news agency added.-Enditem
