Vientiane (VNA) – Laos and Cambodia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed to strengthen their cooperation in the fields of customs and trade.
At a meeting held in Vientiane last weekend, the two sides exchanged experiences in modernising and reforming the customs sector.
They agreed to simplify customs procedures to boost trade ties, while stressing the need to exchange information to fight illegal cross-border trade.
The two sides also agreed to hold a meeting every two years in the future.
