The Medical and Educational Supporting Organisation for Asia Children (MESOAC) of Japan provided over US$ 300,000 to Medical Product Supply Centre, the Ministry of Health to help Lao officials lean about the use of medical equipment.
The Memorandum of Understanding was sign last Thursday in Vientiane by Head of MESOAC, Mr. Mitsuru Koizumi and Head of Medical Product Supply Centre, Dr. Thanom Insan, under the project for Technical Improvement on Medical Equipment.
The financial assistance was aimed at improving the standard of medical services and helping the Information and Education Centre for Health by developing health education materials, with a focus on the use of audio-visual methods in health education.The project also aimed to develop a basic manual of the use of medical equipment and maintenance for the medical product supply centre.The project will run from May 2009 to April 2012.
