Firmly believing in the bright prospects of the Vietnam-Switzerland relationship in the future, the host President expected that the upcoming visit to Switzerland by Vietnamese State President Nguyen Minh Triet, slated for May this year, will be a great success turning a new page for the bilateral cooperation.
According to PM Nguyen Tan Dzung, potentialities and opportunities for economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Switzerland remain enormous. He asked the Swiss Government to support mutual-benefit cooperation of the two business communities.
The Vietnamese leader also suggested Switzerland recognize Vietnam as a market economy, help the country take part in the multilateral trade system and expand its economic ties with Switzerland.
Apart from ODA for socio-economic priorities, Vietnam wants to receive Switzerland’s assistance in nurturing experts and highly-qualified staff to work in tourism, finance, banking, and technology, said PM Dzung.
