The guest made the comments during his meeting with Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng in Hà Nội.
The international institution pledged to be a major partner of Việt Nam in combating the global climate change, Mr. James W. Adams confirmed.
The World Bank (WB) not only provides direct lending to Việt Nam but also helps the Vietnamese Government mobilize resources for macro-economic issues.
Thanks to WB’s assistance, Việt Nam is gaining positive results in transforming its former centralized economy into a market one and speeding up the regional and international integration, remarked Deputy PM Hùng.
He hoped that the WB would continue to provide Việt Nam with more financial resources to deal with urgent issues like the climate change and sea level rise./.
