A solemn ceremony was held this morning in Riyadh to welcome Vietnamese State President who is on a State visit to Arabia Saudi.
In his talks with King Abdullah bin Abdul Azizafter the welcoming ceremony, President Triet reconfirmed Vietnam’s diplomatic policy of placing importance on relations with Arabia Saudi and hailed the Middle East country one of Vietnam’s priority partners.
Both the guest and host leaders agreed to further exchange delegations at all echelons and establish a framework for strategic partnership in energy and food.
After the talks, the leaders witnessed the signing of agreements on double tax avoidance and anti-tax evasion, a protocol on petroleum and mineral cooperation, and an agreement on agriculture, husbandry and aquaculture.
They lauded the signing of these documents which will pave the way for stronger economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, President Triet attended and addressed the Vietnam - Arabia Saudi Business Forum. He also received leaders of some host economic groups./.
