Vietnam welcomes Finnish firms
State President Nguyen Minh Triet stressed that his visit to Finland aims at fostering economic, trade and investment relations between Viet Nam and the North European country, and that Finnish companies are always welcomed to Viet Nam.

The two-way trade value was only US $230 million in 2009, so the leaders of the two countries have targeted to raise it to US $1 billion in the next few years. They have also planned to see Finnish investment in Viet Nam surging to US $1 billion.
The State President said at the forum held in the Finnish capital of Helsinki on May 21 that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for enterprises of the two countries to meet each other and do investment and business in their respective market. He welcomed Finnish firms jumping in the fields of information technology, afforestation, shipbuilding and transport.
At the forum, the State President witnessed the signing ceremony of documents for the cooperation among some Vietnamese and Finnish companies in producing handicraft goods./.
