Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance and the Japan International Cooperation Agency on May 27 signed two loan agreements worth totally 18.388 billion JPY (203.6 million USD).
The loans are part of official development assistance (ODA) the Japanese Government has pledged for Vietnam in the first phase of the 2010 fiscal year.
The loan will help Ho Chi Minh City build the East-West Road (14.061 billion JPY) and improve its water environment (4.327 billion JPY).
Japan’s ODA commitments to Vietnam have to date amounted to 1,412 billion JPY./.
