On the threshold of the 4th meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation, Deputy PM, FM Pham Gia Khiem on June 30 in Beijing, China, met with Chinese FM Yang Jiechi and Tianjin Mayor Huang Xingguo.

Both Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem and Chinese FM Yang Jiechi took this occasion to exchange ways for better bilateral linkages, including the closer coordination between the two Foreign Ministries.
Earlier, during his meeting with Tianjin Mayor Huang Xingguo, Deputy PM Khiem expressed the aspiration that the Chinese city would foster ties with its Vietnamese sister city of Hai Phong while strengthening linkages with Ho Chi Minh City and the central city of Đa Nang.
Vietnam seeks to learn more experience from Tianjin, one of the top 10 best competitive cities in China, in such fields as planning and management of sea ports, hi-tech development, production of wind power, and education and training, said Mr. Khiem.
