Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 6.3 percent in the first half of 2010, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Wednesday.
"We have seen improvements in the national industry, freight transportation and domestic trade. The GDP growth stood at 6.3 percent in January-June," Azarov noted at a Cabinet meeting in Kiev.
Earlier, Valery Litvitskiy, a top adviser for the National Bank of Ukraine, forecasted the country's real GDP growth would be 6.2- 6.4 percent in the first half of the year.
Global Appraiser Moody's on Monday revised up Ukraine's real GDP growth to 3.3 percent in 2010 and 4.5 percent in 2011./.
