Sweden's exports and imports showed substantial growth in June, Statistics Sweden (SCB) said on Monday.
The value of exports in June amounted to 106.7 billion kronor ( about 14.5 billion U.S. dollars), 17 percent more than one year ago, while imports were valued at 95.3 billion kronor (about 13 billion U.S. dollars), 28 percent higher, the government's agency said in a statement.
As a result, the net trade surplus was 11.4 billion kronor ( about 1.56 billion U.S. dollars), it added.
Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of 14. 3 billion kronor (about 1.96 billion U.S. dollars), while the EU trade resulted in a deficit of 2.9 billion kronor (about 397 million U.S. dollars), the agency said.
