The World Bank said on Tuesday that Indonesian economy grew fast in the third quarter of this year, detikcom online news reported on Tuesday.
Enrique Blanco Armas, a World Bank senior economist, said that confidence on the country's prospect has recovered, marked by a strong capital inflow.
He said that growth of Indonesian economy of 6.2 percent in the second quarter 2010 is the fastest one it achieved since the global economic crisis two years ago.
He said that the growth was supported by domestic demand, triggering imports.
He also said that the government's economic growth target of 7 percent in 2014 could be achieved by investing more in infrastructures, building skills and increasing productivity.
The report said that the development has changed policy focus toward long-term growth through policies that support investment to achieve a stronger social effect for all Indonesians./.
