Vietnam gained an export turnovers of US $71.6 billion in 2010, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%, announced the Ministry of Industry and Trade on December 30.
Despite natural disasters and some technical obstacles set by importers, agricultural produces and seafood exports grew nearly 23% to over US $15 billion.

Among the top export earners are the garment and textile sector, with US $11.2 billion or year-on-year growth of 23%, seafood with US $5 billion, and rubber, US $2.4 billion.
In addition, with five more items gaining turnovers of over US $1 billion for the first time, namely cashew nuts, petroleum products, plastic products, electric wires and cables, and means of transport, total number of such items rose to 18./.
