The host expected that the Lao State and citizens will obtain greater achievements in the socio-economic development.
Vietnam will always give priority to strengthen the two nations’ relationship, reiterated PM Dung.
The Government chief urged the two sides’ ministries and agencies to accelerate the implementation of the bilateral agreements and promote cooperative programs in economy, trade and investment.
The two sides agreed to push the two way trade turnover to US $2 billion by 2015.
In the upcoming time, the two countries need to push up cooperation in national security, border demarcation and landmark, education and training, science and technology, agriculture, health care and energy, as well as co-organize the 33rd Vietnam - Laos Inter-governmental Committee, the host proposed.
PM Dũng also called on Laos to closely collaborate with Vietnam and Cambodia to deploy tripartite agreements to foster the growth of the Development Triangle.
In addition, PM Thongsing Thammavong congratulated the success of the 11th National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and its economic achievements amid the global financial crisis.
The visits between the two countries’ leaders in recent years have helped tightened the bilateral ties, the guest noted.
Laos will create consistent policies to speed up the special relationship with Vietnam in all fields, PM Thongsing Thammavong pledged./.
