PM Nguyen Tan Dung has recently agreed to establish a Vietnamese subcommittee under the Vietnam-Austria Joint Trade and Economic Cooperation Committee to boost the bilateral trade and investment.
The subcommittee is chaired by a Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
The comprises members from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Office of Government.
Vietnam and Austria established ties on December 1, 1972. The European country ranks 54th out of 77 countries and territories which are doing business in Vietnam with the total investment of US $20.3 million./.
