Vietnam earned 214.47 million USD from exports to Mexico in the first quarter of this year, up almost 20 percent over the same period of 2010.

The Trade Office of Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico said that the recovery of the Mexican economy was seen as a factor that boosted the inflows of imports, including those from Vietnam.
During the January-March period, Vietnam imported 12.12 million USD worth of goods from Mexico, a year-on-year decrease of 46 percent from the same period a year ago.
Two-way trade exceeded 914 million USD last year and the figure is expected to reach the benchmark of 1 billion USD in 2011./.
