The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita of Indonesia has grew 17.7 percent throughout last year to 3,542 U.S. dollars from 3,010 U.S. dollars in the previous year, a local media reported here on Monday.
"The growth was significant as it exceeded 3,500 U.S. dollars last year," acting chairman of state's statistic bureau BPS, Suryamin, said as quoted by the largest news portal detik.com.
Meanwhile, he added that the country's national GDP reached 7, 427 trillion rupiah last year (826.6 billion U.S. dollars), or higher than 6,436 trillion rupiah in 2010.
Suryamin said that Indonesia saw a 6.5 percent growth throughout last year, contributed by significant growth in telecommunications, transportation, hospitality and property sectors./.
