Poland is eyeing a trade volume of 1 billion U.S. dollars with Indonesia this year as both countries have been growing steadily in recent years, an official said here on Monday.
Polish Ambassador to Indonesia Grzegorz Wisniewski told a business gathering that the number would perfect the 850-million- dollar trade figures achieved in 2011. "Last year was very fruitful for our trade exchange of about 850 million dollars. We are hoping for 1 billion dollars this year, "said Wisniewski.
He added Poland imported much more from Indonesia than export. "But it's not a big problem because we reexport many of our products we bought from Indonesia,"the ambassador said.
According to him, Poland imported goods worth 720 million dollars last year while Indonesia only imported 130 million dollars of goods./.
