The seasonally adjusted industrial production experienced a 0.3 percent month on month drop in the eurozone area in March, the Eurostate says on Monday.
Industrial production suffered a 0.4 percent m-o-m falling in EU at the same time.
In March 2012 compared with February, production of energy fell by 8.5 percent in the euro area and by 6.8 percent in the EU. Capital goods increased by 1.1 percent and 0.9 percent respectively.
In both zones, durable consumer goods decreased by 0.2 percent, while non-durable consumer goods rose by 0.8 percent and intermediate goods by 1.0 percent.
Among the Member States for which data are available, industrial production fell in 11 and rose in 12. The highest decrease was registered in Netherland with 9.0 percent m-o-m fall, the largest increase was found in Slovakia, a 6.3-percent rise./.
