Mexico's economy will grow 3.72 percent in 2012, a slight increase from the 3.62 percent estimated in the previous month, results of a survey by the Mexican Central Bank (Banxico) showed Friday.
The Banxico experts' survey in May also indicates this year's inflation rate will reach 3.65 percent, lower than April's prediction of 3.68 percent.
Mexico's government forecasts an economic growth of 3.5 percent for 2012.
According to the survey, the country's economic growth in 2013 will be around 3.5 percent, while the inflation rate will be 3.65 percent.
Experts expect the exchange rate this year to be 13.03 Mexican pesos per U.S. dollar, compared to the 12.88 Mexican pesos for each dollar as estimated in April.
The survey, carried out between May 16 to 30, sums up the forecasts of 26 Mexican and foreign economic consulting and analysis companies./.
