Ukrainian PM Mykola Azarov will pay an official visit to Viet Nam on November 15-16 at the invitation of PM Nguyen Tan Dung.
During the visit, the two sides will discuss measures to cement and deepen the traditional friendship and comprehensive ties between Viet Nam and Ukraine, especially in the areas of economics, trade and investment.
The two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Ukraine was around US$300 million last year, up 17% against 2010. In the first nine months of 2012, trade volume was estimated at US$175 million.
Viet Nam chiefly exports rice, coffee, tea, rubber, aquaculture, footwear, garments and textiles to Ukraine.
The country imports steel, fertilizers, equipment and chemicals from the Eastern European country.
Ukraine has four investment projects in Viet Nam with the total registered capital of US$24 million and hopes to penetrate into such areas as ship building, railway construction and fisheries in Viet Nam.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam has joined in four projects in food processing, packaging and restaurant services capitalizing at US$2.6 million in Ukraine.
The two countries are cooperating in other domains like energy, science, education, aviation transport as well as culture./.
