The Vietnamese Party chief showed his pleasure at the flourishing relations between Viet Nam and Belgium, not only at national but also local levels.
In 2010-2012, Wallonia had cooperation with Vietnamese partners in tertiary education, development research, vocational training, and tourism.
The region expects to promote its cooperation with Viet Nam in 2013-2015, focusing on sustainable development, capacity increasing, gender equality, high technologies and communications.
Meanwhile, Flanders holds the largest proportion in export activities between Viet Nam and Belgium, equivalent to 84% of Belgian goods into Viet Nam. Educational and training cooperation between the two sides are being boosted.
To welcome the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between the two countries, Mr. Trong suggested localities of the two sides to enhance cooperative activities and exchanges as well as encourage business communities to expand investment.
Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities are ready to welcome Belgian enterprises to Viet Nam, said the Party chief.
On the occasion, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Viet Nam and Flanders was signed./.
