Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung receives Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdoji

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made the affirmation during his November 21 talks with visiting Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdoji in Hanoi.
PM Dung asked both countries to continue their collaboration at multilateral forums including the United Nations, saying Vietnam backs Mongolia on its engagement in regional and international organisations. He raised recommendations for both sides’ coordination in organising the Inter-Governmental Committee meeting in the coming time and in celebrating their 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year.
He said he hopes to further beef up defence links along with cultural and educational ties. He lauded Mongolian businesses accompanying the President to Vietnam to seek business partners.
For his part, President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdoji briefed the PM on the outcomes of his talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang.
He said the two sides agreed upon measures to boost bilateral cooperation in the traditional fields of agriculture, pharmaceuticals and medicine, in parallel with tapping areas of each side’s strength such as security-defence, tourism, oil and gas, and foodstuff production.
The guest said Mongolia always leaves the door open for Vietnamese investors to do long-term business, and hopes Vietnam becomes a bridge between the country and ASEAN markets./.
