U.S. Treasury Department said on Friday that it has lends another 2 billion dollar to the struggling General Motors.
U.S. media reported on Tuesday that the government this week is likely to give GM 2 billion dollar of the up to 5 billion dollars that it was prepared to give to GM.
The loan pushes the total amount of GM's government aid to 15.4billion dollars after the company said it would need more money to survive.
Meanwhile, the Treasury said that four banks have returned a total of 569.2 million dollars in Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to the government.
