Receiving Mr. Luo Baoming, Governor of China’s Hainan Province this afternoon, PM Nguyen Tan Dzung asserted that the cooperation between Vietnam and Hainan is flourishing and there are great potentials to promote it.

Governor Luo reported that his Premier, Mr. Wen Jiabao is interested in and supports the opening of a direct air route between Hainan and Ha Noi and a sea route from Hainan to Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City.
He added that, at the Vietnam-Hainan Trade and Economic Cooperation Seminar 2009 held this morning in Ha Noi, enterprises of the two sides signed 18 agreements totally valuing US $318 million.
Hainam will exploit its geological advantages and cultural similarities to foster the China-Vietnam friendship, said Mr. Luo.
Acknowledging the guest’s ideas, PM Dzung stated that there are great potentials for Vietnam and Hainan to cement and deepen cooperation in all fields.
The host leader lauded the opening of air and sea routes between Hainan and Vietnamese cities, believing that these lines will facilitate trade and tourism exchanges between the two sides.
He also urged the two sides to expand cooperation into automobile industry, agro-mechanism, fisheries, education and rescue work
PM Dzung said that Vietnam will do its utmost to place the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and States on a new plane, especially enhancing the ties between the two countries’ border provinces, in the interests of the two peoples.
Earlier on the day, Mr. Luo and his entourage were received by Deputy PM, FM Pham Gia Khiem.
During their working visit to Vietnam, the Chinese officials also had working sessions with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transport, and the Vietnam Chamber for Commerce and Industry.
