Thailand's gross domestic product(GDP) in the third quarter of 2009 is projected to contract by three to four percent, the Office of Fiscal Budget spokesman, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, said Wednesday.
However, the country's GDP is expected to grow three to four percent in the fourth quarter, the website by Bangkok Post quoted Ekniti as saying.
The Office of Fiscal Budget will announce its official 2009 GDP growth projection revision on Sept. 28, he said.
In June, the office adjusted its GDP projection for the whole 2009 to shrink 3.5 to 2.5 percent, or an average of minus three percent./.
