Vietnam and the Republic of Korean (RoK) should quickly and drastically put into reality the agreements reached by leaders of the two sides, said PM Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung highlighted his view at his meeting with Chairman Park Jin of the RoK National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee this morning in Hanoi
He stressed that Vietnam, as President of ASEAN next year, would spare no effort to deepening the comprehensive cooperation between ASEAN and the RoK.
The Vietnamese leader also hoped that Mr. Park Jin would play an increasingly important role in concretizing the strategic partnership between the two countries, focusing on trade and investment ties to lift the bilateral trade turnover to a significant volume. Currently, the two-way trade turnover reached some US $10 billion.
Vietnam is looking for the RoK’s assistance to training personnel, mobilizing financial resources, transferring technological solutions and treating wastes of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant which will be groundbroken soon, the PM said.
Vietnam and the RoK are enjoying various opportunities to speed up cultural exchange as thousands of Vietnamese and Korean are living and working in their respective countries./.
