Romania will record a 1.3 percent economic increase in 2010, said on Sunday the Prime-Minister designate Emil Boc, when announcing the list of the new cabinet and the governing program.
The budget deficit will be brought down to 5.9 percent of gross domestic product in 2010, Boc added, specifying that it is a "realistic" prognosis and it is based on expert analyses, on those of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Council specialists included.
The previous estimate for the economic increase was 0.5 percent.
According to Boc, the country will be able to talk about a consistent economic increase only in 2011, after having a slight economic increase in the coming year.
The prime-minister designate Sunday announced the list of his new cabinet that includes 15 ministries and a deputy prime minister position, three less than the former cabinet, which numbered 19.
The list of the new cabinet and the governing program were submitted to the parliament Sunday evening. According to local media, the ministers designated will be heard on Tuesday and the cabinet will be given a confidence vote on Wednesday./.
