Vietnam and Algeria must transform their friendship into a driving force to enhance their people’s livelihoods and economic growths while expanding cooperation in all fields, State President Nguyen Minh Triet announced yesterday in the capital city of Algiers.

Arrived to Algeria on Thursday, the Vietnamese leader was warmly greeted by the host State President, his Prime Minister and other high officials.
The leaders conducted many fruitful discussions on taking their bilateral relationship to a new plane, especially through boosting growths in the major fields of agriculture, education, construction and trade.
State President Nguyen Minh Triet took the occasion to present his appreciation to the warm hospitality of Algerian leaders and people.
He also emphasized that Vietnam would like to receive assistance from Algeria to speed up its trade with African markets, including the Algerian one. In return, Algerian products can use Vietnam’s open door to approach other Southeast Asian markets.
On the other hand, the Algerian leaders applauded the agricultural and construction achievements of Vietnam in the past years. Both countries will bring into play their strengths while improving their weaknesses to further boost their two-way trade, they affirmed./.
