The remark was made today by PM Nguyen Tan Dung at the Jiangsu Vietnam–China Business Forum, held in Nanjing City, to particularly stress on the importance of tightening the bilateral business cooperation between Vietnamand Jiangsu.
He believed Vietnam and Jiangsu should exchange economic information while exploring new investment opportunities.

The two-way trade between Vietnam and China has an annual growth of above 30% throughout last 10 years, the leader emphasized.
According to latest economic reports, the bilateral economic turnover of 2009 stood at US$ 21 billion despites the impacts of global economic downturn, up 6% as compared to 2008. Meanwhile, the Q1 figure of 2010 also increased nearly 40%.

China currently invests in 700 projects in Vietnam with the US $3-billion budget, becoming a leading investor here.
However, the PM still expected a US$25 billion bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and China this year.
The leader pointed out that in 2009 the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Jiangsu only reached US $2.2 billion. Jiangsu only had 66 enterprises investing in the country with US $74 million-worth budget by 2009. He invited Jiangsu enterprises to expand their investment in Vietnam.

The Jiangsu Business Forum attracted over 500 enterprises from both countries, coming to join hands on many economic fields.
Various cooperation documents were sealed at the event, focusing on tourism, information exchange, and waste-exploited power plant construction.
PM Nguyen Tan Dung, his spouse and entourage arrived to Nanjing City of Jiangsu Province yesterday beginning his official visit to the province.
Besides attending the business forum, the delegation has met and worked with many local important officials and leading enterprises to take the bilateral cooperation to a new plane by integrating both countries in more influential trade activities of many key sectors such as food, technology, culture, education, aviation and tourism./.
