The total export turnover to the Russian Federation reached US $163 million in the first four months, gaining an increase of over 50% against the same period last year.
The two-way trade value between Viet Nam and Russia stood at US $500 million in the reviewed period, up by 3.6%, reported the Viet Nam General Department of Customs.
The sharp increase of Vietnamese exports was attributed to the boom of Russia’s demand for seafood, rubber, computers, electronic devices, steel, and cashew.
Russia is now Viet Nam’s 20th biggest trade partner. The latter’s exports to the former include seafood, garments and textiles, footwear, vegetables and fruits, rice, coffee, tea, rubber, cashew, and pepper.
Viet Nam’s key import product from Russia is steel, which accounts for over 35% of the country’s gross import volume from all trade partners./.
