To enter these markets, Vietnam’s fruits have to overcome various barriers regarding quality, food hygiene, competition and distance of delivery.
Editor-in-chief of Asia Fruit magazine John Hey suggested Vietnam focus on storing products and cutting time of delivery.
According to Mr. John Hey, there are wide doors for Vietnam’s fruits to penetrate into the EU and US, especially such tropicalfruits which can be harvested all year around and much preferred by consumers like blue dragon and grapefruit .
He also proposed Vietnam meet high quality and quantity standards by establishing mass production sites./.
