State President Nguyen Minh Triet underlined that Vietnam will join efforts with Finland in raising the - way trade turnover to US $1 billion and the latter’s investment value to the same figure in several years.

State President Nguyen Minh Triet, who is on a visit to Finland, today had a meeting with the host PM, Mr. Matti Vanhanen.
President Triết stated that Vietnam would promptly realize the latest high-ranking agreements and promote investment and trade activities with Finland in the time to come.
Vietnam commits to most favorable conditions for Finnish enterprises to jump in such fields as electronics, telecommunications, shipbuilding, timber industry and paper making.
As the Chair of ASEAN in 2010, Vietnam is also willing to link Finland and Southeast Asian countries, said President Triết.
PM Matti Vanhanen confirmed his country’s desire to cement and deepen comprehensive ties with Vietnam as well as back the Southeast Asian country to enhance its relations with the European Union.
The same day, President Triet hosted several receptions given to Finnish companies and President of the Communist Party of Finland Yrjo Hakanen./.
