Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) announced Wednesday that since the start of 2010 the inflation in the country stood at 4.1 percent.
From June 1-7 the inflation rate was 0.1 percent.
The annual inflation rate by June 7 was 5.9 percent, lower than the 6.0 percent registered at late April and May, and much lower than the 8.8 percent at last year-end.
The increase in value of rubles as well as the insufficient domestic consumption demand were the main attributers of the decline of inflation rate.
Analysts said the domestic inflation rate might further escalate due to the rise of demand, monetary base and prices for imported products.
Latest forecast from Russian Economic Development Ministry put Russia's annual inflation rate between 6 and 7 percent this year.
