The two PMs agreed to focus on economic, trade and investment cooperation in addition to further expanding ties in other fields like culture, sports, education and tourism.
The host and the guest emphasized the need to perfect a legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
The two leaders re-affirmed their common wish to continue consolidating and enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan, noting increases in delegation exchanges.

As oil and gas exploration is regarded a key cooperative field between the two countries, PM Dung reiterated that the Vietnamese Government would create favorable conditions for the Uzbekistan National Oil and Gas Group to conduct exploration projects in Vietnam’s continental shelf.
Meanwhile, PM Shavkat Mirziyoyev also voiced his support for joint oil and gas projects with Vietnam.
Right at the talks, the two PMs assigned relevant ministries and sectors of the two sides to work out concrete cooperative measures in the field.

After the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of agreements on plant quarantine and education cooperation.
