Myanmar's border trade amounted to 3.367 billion U.S. dollars in the fiscal year 2011-12, up 58 percent from 2.13 billion dollars in 2010-11, local media reported Tuesday.
Of the total, export amounted to 2.028 billion dollars while import represented as 1.339 billion dollars in the fiscal year 2011-12, said the Messenger News.
Myanmar exported agricultural produces worth 854.661 million dollars, of which rice export shared 57 million dollars, maize 170 million dollars, peas and beans 134 million dollars.
Myanmar's border trade was dominated by that with China with 2. 985 billion dollars followed by Thailand with 343.305 million dollars, India with 15.409 million dollars and Bangladesh with 23. 860 million dollars.
